Day & Night

Where does the sun go when we can’t see it?

Night and Day happens because of Earth's rotation.

Something you need to know is that we need the sun and the moon to have day and night time.

In fact, half of Earth faces the Sun. The other side of Earth faces toward space.

Lastly, one side of Earth is Southern hemisphere and the other side of Earth is the Northern hemisphere.

This is how day and night works.

Walking Water

We all got a buddy, my buddy was Aeisha.

Firstly, Ms Bracey set up the science project. She placed 7 plastic cups on the table.

In fact, she filled 4 cups with water. She used food colouring to colour the 4 cups that had water in it. The colours she used were red,(whero) yellow(kowhai) and blue(kikorangi). In the last cup of water she didn’t put any food colouring in it.

Secondly, she asked us to predict what was going to happen. Each group got to take a quick look at the experiment. Then we had to sit down and write what thought was going to happen. We sat down and wrote what we predicted.

Finally, we finished up and left our experiment, so we could see what happened the next day.

WALT: Use a brainstorm
My challenge was predicting my thinking.
