🌻🌻𝐃𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲!🌻🌻

Daffodil Day is the Irish Cancer Society's biggest fundraiser, taking place each year in March and raising millions of euro to support cancer patients and their loved ones by providing free advice and support.

Last friday, my school celebrated Daffodil Day by colouring a picture of a daffodil to win a prize. One person from each syndicate won a prize. We also had to donate a gold coin to get a daffodil!!

Lockdown Drill

A few weeks ago, Tamaki Primary School had a Lockdown Drill. It is very necessary to have Lockdown Drills. Lock down Drills are very important, they teach us what to do encase a real Lock down happens.

When my class heard the bell, everyone stopped and listened to Mr Jay's instructions. He had told us to get on the floor and stay quiet. Everyone got onto the floor or under a table and stayed as quiet as possible. We stayed quiet for about 30 minutes and waited for our DP Mr Reddy to come to our class and tell everyone that we could get up.

30 minutes later, Mr Reddy came to our class and told us that we were able to get up. The entire class got up and carried on with their work.

🐼🐨Animal Town!!🐼🐨

Just imagine a story placed at Animal Town...

What is Animal Town you ask? Animal Town is a place that all
animals can enjoy themselves and live like humans.

If I were to arrive and Animal Town, I’d probably get attacked right away because
I am definitely not an animal person. I know that I would get attacked because
animals can sense everyone's fear.

At the same time, I think it’s amazing that the animals in Animal
Town get to live like humans. Animal Town is a fantastic place for all animals.
I think every animal deserves to be treated how they would like to be treated,
and live where they wanna live.

The jungle, forest and all the places animals would live are amazing,
but I reckon Animal Town is better place. I can tell that all the animals love to
live at Animal Town, because of the environment and all the good people around

Cybersmart

Earlier today, our Cybersmart teacher Ms Collins came in and taught us how to write a quality blog comment. Ms Collins shared a doc to us, that doc had two links that lead us to our buddy classes blogs. We were told to look at their blogs and practice writing our first blog comments on their blog posts. Ms Collins The schools we are blogging with are Awahono School and Marshland School. These schools were located in Greymouth and Christchurch.Ms Collins also said that we might be able to get individual partners from Marshland School or Awahono School. She taught us what to write and how to write a quality blog comment.

Here is my comment on Marshland school:

Hello Marshland School, my name is Evangeline and I am a year 7 from the Kia Manawanui Syndicate at Tamaki Primary School. I exceedingly enjoyed reading and observing the quality of your blog posts.

Here is my comment on Awahono School:

Hey Awahono School, my name is Evangeline and I am a year 7 from the Kia Manawanui Syndicate at Tamaki Primary School.
It looks like you all had so much fun with Elgregoe! I wish I was there.

My message of support for Christchurch

Today we were told to create a message
of support for the people that have
lost lives in Christchurch. It is sad to
hear that something that bad has
happened in my home New Zealand.
