Lockdown Drill

A few weeks ago, Tamaki Primary School had a Lockdown Drill. It is very necessary to have Lockdown Drills. Lock down Drills are very important, they teach us what to do encase a real Lock down happens.

When my class heard the bell, everyone stopped and listened to Mr Jay's instructions. He had told us to get on the floor and stay quiet. Everyone got onto the floor or under a table and stayed as quiet as possible. We stayed quiet for about 30 minutes and waited for our DP Mr Reddy to come to our class and tell everyone that we could get up.

30 minutes later, Mr Reddy came to our class and told us that we were able to get up. The entire class got up and carried on with their work.

  1. Hi Evangeline, it's Ryan here from Awahono School. Yes, I agree that it is a great idea to have a lockdown drill incase a real lockdown happens. Even though is was just a practice, did you feel scared? From Ryan
